Ronald McDonald House Aluminum Tabs Recycling - Greater Hudson Valley

Performance Connectivity, Inc. (PCI) has partnered with Ronald McDonald House of The Greater Hudson Valley (RMDH) to create greater public awareness of their mission to help the families of critically ill and injured children spend time with their children by providing low-cost, home-like accommodations near the hospital facilities they need.

PCI is hosting an aluminum tab collection box for RMDH as an ongoing program to provide funds through recycling. The aluminum tabs are sold to a local recycling company, and the proceeds help with the daily operating expenses of the House. RMDH is averaging $1,000 monthly just from these tiny tabs – that’s over 3 MILLION TABS A MONTH!

Why not collect the whole can?

Tabs are cleaner and easier to store and transfer. Several non-profit organizations collect cans. RMDH collects tabs in an effort to not compete with these organizations for funds.

What kind of tabs?

  • Aluminum Only (Not plastic or steel – if the tabs stick to a magnet they cannot be used!)
  • Tabs found on canned food and beverage items, tennis ball cylinders and any other aluminum pop tab lids.
